Marilynn

Marilynn works as a home health aide, a job that is very dependent on having a reliable source of transportation. She has been experiencing car trouble for years, and eventually, her car broke down completely. In fear of losing her job, she reached out to us for help. Marilynn had previously volunteered with Friends in Deed and was aware of our programs, but she was still surprised by the ease of the whole process, describing it as “very fast, and the people were very helpful.” She was able to get her vehicle back on the road after just three days. And now, she is feeling more empowered than ever before. Marilynn is confident in traveling further distances with her car which in turn expands her work opportunities. She is now helping people with their health care needs in other counties. Marilynn was grateful for Friends In Deed’s assistance, stating “Friends in Deed helped with no hesitation. Even if they can’t help with your particular situation, they will refer you to someone who can.”
